I remember the exact moment that I fell in love with Paul McCartney and the Beatles.

Before this moment, I had always loved the Beatles, I mean, they’re The Beatles, how could you not love them? But I didn’t worship them like I do now. And to be honest, I thought they were all a bit funny looking, and didn’t think that they were too attractive.

It was about two years ago, and I had just discovered a box of old records that my parents used to own. The next time I caught up with my best friend, I excitedly told her about my discovery. She told me that she thought her mum had an old beatles record somewhere, and a few moments later she returned with the White album (Or the yellow album as it is affectionately known as, due to it’s discolouring from age) 

We got out the poster and laughed at some of the silly posters, and we admired the record itself.

And then I saw this.

I was speechless, and I had never actually been speechless before in my life. After staring at this picture for a long while in silence, I finally whispered. “He’s beautiful.” 

And that was the beginning. From that moment on the Beatles have been in my mind and in my heart for every minute of every day. I began listening to their music constantly, watching countless videos of them, finding picture after picture, and learning everything I could about them. My family all thought it was a phase that I would eventually get over, as I had with so many things before. 

But this is different. I know that I will love the Beatles with my whole heart until the day I die.

They are more than any other band.
They are more than normal celebrities.

They are life.
